Rudolf Freyer

Rudolf Freyer (born March 28, 1886 in Reichersberg am Inn , Upper Austria ; † May 31, 1961 in Ried im Innkreis ) was an Austrian master shoemaker and politician .

Life

After four years in the front line of the First World War , Freyer worked as a master shoemaker and orthopedist. He tried very hard to maintain his profession and had functions in the commercial district association Ried, was cooperative commissioner and state guild master of the shoemakers . In the Chamber of Commerce he had the function of a chamber councilor and chairman of the Ried district office and was involved in the establishment of the vocational school for leather-processing industries. He was also Vice President of the Austrian Trade Association, Upper Austria Regional Group and Economic Advisor for Homeland Security . When the Rieder Volksmesse or Agricultural Fair was rebuilt after the Second World War , he served as its first president from 1947 to 1960. For his achievements he received the honorary title of Commercial Councilor . He was married and had two children.

In the political field, Freyer worked from 1934 to 1938 as a member of the state parliament for industry and at the same time as the second president of the state parliament. He was also a member of the Ried parish council .
