Rudolf Trauner (born April 3, 1918 in Roggendorf, Lower Austria ; † November 21, 2004 ) was an Upper Austrian politician ( ÖVP ), Chamber of Commerce official and entrepreneur .

Life

Trauner was married and had two children. After attending compulsory and commercial school , he was an accountant from 1945 to 1948 , during which time he acquired IBIS-Verlag and called it Trauner-Verlag. In 1982 the Academic Senate of the University of Linz awarded it the title of University Publishing House and in 1987 was authorized to use the state coat of arms .

Political functions

From 1952, Trauner was a member of the Economic Association in Upper Austria and a financial officer, from 1963 a member of the ÖVP state party leadership and from 1968 its deputy chairman.

From 1969 to 1991 he was President of the Economic Association of the Upper Austria Regional Group, and thus also Deputy Regional Party Chairman of the ÖVP and Vice President of the Federal Management of the Austrian Economic Association.

In May 1971 he moved into the Upper Austrian Landtag as the successor to the Landtag member Franz Schütz in May 1971 and was re-elected in 1973, 1979 and 1985.

He was business district of the state government Wenzl I (1971-1973), Wenceslas II (1973-1977), Ratzenböck I (1977-1979) and Governor -Stellvertreter the state government Ratzenböck II (1979-1985).

In October 1980 he left the state government and took over the role of club chairman from Gerhard Possart . From 1985 to 1991 Trauner was the third president of the state parliament .

Functions in the Chamber of Commerce

From 1980 to 1990 he was President of the Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce .

Other functions

From 1968 to 1989 he was President of the Linz Athletics Sports Club ( LASK Linz ).

From 1970 to 1976 Trauner was a member of the board of directors and from 1988 chairman of the supervisory board of Volkskreditbank Oberösterreich .

Other functions were membership in the supervisory board of Österreichischer Wirtschaftsverlag , in the state mortgage company Upper Austria and in the OKA , deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Österreichische Zollfreizonen-Betriebs AG and chairman of the supervisory board of KreditgarantiegmbH Upper Austria.
