State election in Upper Austria in 1931
The regional elections in Upper Austria in 1931 took place on April 19, 1931 and again led to a clear victory for the Christian Social Party (CS). The Christian Socials were able to post a slight increase in votes and therefore have 28 seats in the state parliament, which has been reduced from 60 to 48 mandates. The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ) also achieved slight gains of around 3 percentage points and have 15 of the 48 members in the country house . The Greater Germans who entered under the list "The National Economic Bloc and Landbund " lost around half of their share of the vote and now had 5 seats. The Heimwehr (home block) and the NSDAP failed to enter the state parliament with 4.1% and 3.5% respectively.
