This list of members of the Upper Austrian Landtag (XXIV. Legislative period) lists all members of the Upper Austrian Landtag in the XXIV. Legislative period. The legislative period lasted from October 30, 1991 to October 30, 1997, the deputies were sworn in on October 30, 1991. In the 1991 state election , the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) achieved strong winners and was able to gain its mandate at the expense of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) more than triple. Of the 56 mandates, 26 were from the ÖVP, 19 from the SPÖ and 11 from the Austrian Freedom Party. As a result, the FPÖ was also able to set up a regional council in the regional governments Ratzenböck IV and Pühringer I , respectively, in office during this legislative period .
During the legislative period, the ÖVP provided the First President of the State Parliament due to its relative majority in mandate. With Angela Orthner , another woman took over this function. Until her move to the state government on March 2, 1995, the SPÖ MP Barbara Prammer was the second president of the state parliament . On the day she left, Udo Block was elected her successor. He held the post of Second President until his death on August 22, 1997. His position was not filled again as a result. The third president of the state parliament was Manfred Bodingbauer from the FPÖ.
Club chairmen
Franz Hiesl held the position of club chairman in the ÖVP until March 2nd, 1995 . As a result of his change to the state government, the office fell to Johann Brait on that day , while Werner Wigelbeyer was the deputy club chairman during the legislative period . In the SPÖ, the office of club chairman was the state parliament member Karl Frais , his deputy was Norbert Pichler . In the FPÖ, Alfred Thewanger initially took over the office of club chairman , but left this position on May 31, 1996. He was succeeded on June 24, 1996 by Günther Steinkellner .
