Arnold Weixelbaumer (born February 4, 1953 in Linz ) is an Upper Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Weixelbaumer was mayor of the municipality of Zwettl an der Rodl from 1991 to 2014 and a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament from 1996 to 2015 .

Life

Arnold Weixelbaumer completed a bank apprenticeship and was managing director of Raiffeisenbank Bad Leonfelden until December 31, 1997 . He was also a member of the advisory board of the Austrian Workers 'and Employees' Association ( ÖAAB ).

Weixelbaumer was involved as chairman of the ÖVP in Zwettl an der Rodl from 1989 to 2012 and was elected district chairman of the ÖVP Urfahr-Umgebung in 1995 . From October 6, 1991 he was mayor of Zwettl. 1996 Weixelbaumer was elected to the state parliament, in the XXVI. During the legislative period, he was a member of the Committee on Finance, the Control Committee, the Committee on EU Affairs and the Committee on Petitions and Corrections. In 2014 he was made an honorary citizen of the community of Zwettl an der Rodl for his services.

Weixelbaumer is married and has two children.
