State government Pühringer I

The provincial government Pühringer I under governor Josef Pühringer (ÖVP) formed the Upper Austrian provincial government in the XXIV legislative period of the Upper Austrian provincial parliament from the resignation of governor Josef Ratzenböck until the end of the legislative period on October 30, 1997. The provincial government Pühringer II followed the provincial government Pühringer II after .

The resignation of Governor Ratzenböck on March 2nd, 1995 resulted in a major government reshuffle. In addition to Ratzenböck, Regional Councilor Gerhard Klausberger (SPÖ) and Deputy Governor Karl-Albert Eckmayr (ÖVP) left office. The previous Provincial Governor Josef Pühringer was elected as the new Governor , and Provincial Governor Christoph Leitl was promoted to Deputy Governor . As the regional councils drew Franz Hiesl and Walter Aichinger by the government. For the resigned Provincial Councilor Klausberger, Barbara Prammer became the first female member of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government. The only change during the term of office came when Barbara Prammer resigned from the government on February 25, 1997 to become Minister for Women in the federal climate government .
