State government Gleißner II

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provincial government Gleißner II under governor Heinrich Gleißner formed the Upper Austrian provincial government in the XV. Legislative period of the Upper Austrian Landtag from the election of Gleißner on November 1, 1934 to the dissolution of the Landtag and the provincial government by the National Socialists in March 1938. August Eigruber took over the office of Governor on March 14, 1938 , followed by the final dissolution on March 18 by the state parliament and state government.

The provincial government Gleißner II formed the Upper Austrian provincial government during the time of Austrofascism , whereby the members of the provincial government were no longer elected by freely elected representatives, but by the professional representatives in the state parliament. The members of the state government came predominantly from the Christian Social Party , which had been absorbed into the unity of the Patriotic Front in 1933 .

The first resignation in the government took place on November 12, 1934, when Franz Heissler asked to be removed from his post, since his new post as a member of the administrative commission of the Austrian Federal Railways would not have been compatible with the post of a regional councilor. On January 21, 1935, Anton Gasperschitz left the state government. He took over the office of the Upper Austrian Tourism President and was replaced by Karl Loidl on February 1, 1935 .
