State government Gleißner I
The provincial government of Gleißner I under governor Heinrich Gleißner formed the Upper Austrian provincial government in the XIV legislative period of the Upper Austrian provincial parliament from the election of Gleißner as governor on March 1, 1934 to the inauguration of the successor government Gleißner II on November 1, 1934.
The provincial government Gleißner I formed the Upper Austrian provincial government during the early days of Austrofascism in 1934. After the Austrian Civil War , the previous governor Josef Schlegel resigned on February 12, 1934 under pressure from the Home Guard, whereupon Heinrich Gleißner took over the leadership of the Upper Austrian provincial government. In the following months he led the state government until the “corporate state” was fully established in Austria. The members of the state government came predominantly from the Christian Social Party , which had been absorbed into the unity of the Patriotic Front in 1933 .
During the short term of office of the state government, the Greater German State Councilor Franz Langoth resigned from the government on March 5, 1934. He was followed by the future governor (deputy governor) Heinrich Wenninger on the same day.
