The provincial government Stelzer is the Upper Austrian provincial government in the XXVIII. Legislative period since April 6, 2017. It succeeded the Pühringer V state government . Due to the proportional representation system , all parliamentary groups are also represented in the state government.

history

On September 11, 2016, the ÖVP Upper Austria presented the personnel decisions for the time after Governor Josef Pühringer . The previous Deputy Governor Thomas Stelzer succeeded Pühringer as Governor on April 6, 2017 and was also given the finance department, District Councilor Michael Strugl was given a say in the current budget and medium-term financial planning. In addition, the research and science agendas migrated from Stelzer to Strugl.

On February 9, 2017 it was announced that Josef Pühringer would hand over his office to Thomas Stelzer on April 6, 2017. On April 6, 2017, Christine Haberlander became the new regional councilor, and regional councilor Michael Strugl succeeded him as deputy governor. In July 2016, the women's agendas were temporarily moved from ÖVP State Councilor Thomas Stelzer to SPÖ State Councilor Birgit Gerstorfer , which was taken over by ÖVP State Councilor Christine Haberlander.

On June 14, 2018, it was announced that Markus Achleitner would become regional councilor in the Upper Austrian regional government due to Michael Strugl's move to the board of directors of the Verbund AG electricity company . Achleitner was on 6 December 2018 sworn in and is responsible for the site resort with economic, scientific and research agendas. Strugl followed Christine Haberlander as Deputy Governor . Stelzer is solely responsible for finance.

On May 20, 2019, Provincial Councilor Elmar Podgorschek announced his resignation after the Ibiza affair became known . On May 21, 2019, Wolfgang Klinger was presented as his successor, and Klinger was sworn in on May 23, 2019 .

On January 7, 2020, Rudi Anschober moved to the Federal Government Kurz II as Minister of Health and Social Affairs ; in the state parliament session on January 30, 2020, Stefan Kaineder was elected as his successor as regional councilor. Governor Thomas Stelzer took over the agendas of State Councilor Anschober on an interim basis from January 7th to 30th, 2020.
