Christine Haberlander

Christine Haberlander (born October 18, 1981 in Linz ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Since 6 April 2017 it is Upper Austrian provincial government in the state government Stelzer and since December 6, 2018 Governor -Stellvertreterin.

Life

Christine Haberlander grew up in Enns in Upper Austria . After graduating from the Körnerschule Linz , she studied economics at the University of Linz , completing her degree in 2012 as a Magistra. In 2009 she ran for the ÖVP in the European elections . She worked for several years in the ÖVP state parliament club and was responsible for health organization and the management of the board office at the state hospital Gespag . From February 2015 she worked in the office of Governor Josef Pühringer as a consultant for health agendas.

On February 9, 2017, it was announced that from April 6, 2017, after Josef Pühringer's retirement as regional councilor in the Upper Austrian provincial government, she would be responsible for the departments of education, childcare, health and women. On April 6, 2017, she was elected and sworn in as state councilor.

Haberlander lives in Enns, where it is the municipal council since 2009 Member and is owned by the Austrian People's Party Union of Workers ÖAAB , the OÖVP - Women and the Economic Alliance of.

As part of the coalition negotiations for the formation of a government in 2019 , she is negotiating in the two main groups social security, new justice and poverty reduction, as well as education, science, research and digitization.

In August 2020, Haberlander was elected executive chairwoman of the ÖAAB state board. She should lead the organization together with chairman August Wöginger until the state parliament in spring 2021 .
