State government Gleißner V

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provincial government Gleißner V under governor Heinrich Gleißner (ÖVP) formed the Upper Austrian provincial government during the XVII. Legislative period of the Upper Austrian state parliament from November 5, 1949 to November 18, 1955. The state government of Gleißner V was followed by the state government of Gleißner VI and replaced the state government of Gleißner IV .

After the state election in 1949 , the electoral party of the Independent (WdU) was able to move into the state government for the first time thanks to a great election success. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) lost two government seats to the WdU and only had four out of nine members. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPO) sent three members to the state government as in the previous government. After the government was sworn in, Erwin Wascher (WdU) resigned his mandate on June 8, 1950, and Roland Hausmann was sworn in as the new regional councilor for him the following day . After Franz Breitwieser's death on October 7, 1954, Hermann Kletzmayr was elected as his successor on October 19 . Felix Kern resigned from his post as Deputy Governor on October 23, 1955 just before the state elections in 1955 .
