Johann Blöchl (born July 12, 1895 in Siegelsdorf ; † April 4, 1987 there ) was an Upper Austrian politician ( CSP / ÖVP ).

Blöchl was born on Hartmayrgut (also: Dornachhof), the former Meierhof of the Dornach castle ruins , and attended the elementary school in Lasberg and the community school in Marianum Freistadt . From the age of 14 he worked on his parents' farm and in 1922 became a local councilor in Lasberg .

Blöchl was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag from 1931 to 1938 . He was also a member of the Austrian National Council from 1931 to 1934 . During the time of National Socialism he was imprisoned twice for long periods.

From 1945 to 1966 he was again a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament. From 1945 to 1955 he was Regional Minister without portfolio in Upper Austria, then to 1966 Governor -Stellvertreter. During his time as regional councilor (1945–1955) he was head of the civil administration in Mühlviertel and is therefore considered to be the father of the Mühlviertel because he was able to prevent the Soviet occupying power from separating it from Upper Austria.

Blöchl was President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Agriculture from 1954 to 1965 and Vice President of the Austrian Farmers' Union from 1954 to 1965.
