The Wallner III state government is the Vorarlberg state government under the leadership of Governor Markus Wallner ( ÖVP ) of the 31st legislative period . It is the continuation of the first black-green coalition government in Vorarlberg from 2014–2019 ( Wallner II regional government ). The state government was elected in the constituent session of the 31st Vorarlberg state parliament on November 6, 2019.
After the state elections in 2019 , in which both the Vorarlberg People's Party and the Greens Vorarlberg easily gained, the two parties met in negotiations to continue the previous governing coalition.
On November 4, 2019, the elaborated coalition paper was accepted by both the board of the Vorarlberg People's Party and the regional assembly of the Vorarlberg Greens . Marco Tittler and Martina Rüscher (both ÖVP) were added, succeeding Karlheinz Rüdisser and Christian Bernhard . With Barbara Schöbi-Fink , a woman became governor for the first time in the history of the country .
