State government Purtscher I
The provincial government Purtscher I was the 10th Vorarlberg provincial government after 1945 and came into being after the previous governor Herbert Keßler handed over his office to his successor Martin Purtscher (both ÖVP ) on July 9, 1987 . Purtscher led his first state government until the state elections in Vorarlberg in 1989 , after which the state government of Purtscher II was sworn in on October 24, 1989 . The governing coalition with the FPÖ , which Herbert Keßler agreed after the state elections in 1984 , was continued by Purtscher, whereby the government was composed of six members of the ÖVP and one FPÖ member, as before.
The composition of the state government initially did not change apart from the change at the top of the government. On October 11, 1988, however, Konrad Blank of the ÖVP resigned from the government and was inherited in this position by his party colleague Anton Türtscher .
