Kirchhasel is a district of Hünfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda . The hamlets of Stendorf and Neuwirtshaus belong to the place .

The Kirchhasel district is located on the northern foothills of the Rhön and belongs to the Rhön Biosphere Reserve . The place is three kilometers northeast of Hünfeld. The federal highway 84 runs in the south .

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1290. A fortified church was mentioned as early as the 9th century . The parish church of St. Georg was built next to the fortified church . The old fortified church still shines today next to the parish church and baptisms and services are still held in the fortified church.

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent community was incorporated into the city of Hünfeld.

Local public transport is provided by the local public transport company Fulda with bus route 87. In Kirchhasel there is the Catholic St. Georg kindergarten and the Kirchhasel daycare center with the natural and forest kindergarten "Haselmäuse".
