Nüst is a district of Hünfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

A carnival parade takes place in Nüst every three years . In the other two years, the move takes place one year in Mackenzell and the other year in Rückers .

geography

The district of Nüst is located on the northern foothills of the Rhön and is part of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve . The main town of Hünfeld borders Nüst in the north and is only separated from it by state road 3176. The Nüst joins the Haune from the right . The federal road 27 and the federal road 84 lead past the village in the west, separated by the Bebra – Fulda railway line .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1093. The Catholic church was rebuilt in 1956. The 1972 closed school than today community center used.

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent community was incorporated into the city of Hünfeld.
