Michelsrombach is a district of Hünfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

geography

The Michelsrombach district is located on the northern foothills of the Rhön and is part of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve , 1.8 km south and 7.4 km west of Hünfeld. Two state roads meet on the outskirts . The federal highway 7 runs east of the place.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 852.

A new church was built in 1966/67.

On February 1, 1971, until then independent municipality was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse in the city Hünfeld incorporated .

Infrastructure

The local public transport company Fulda ensures local public transport with bus route 73. There is a central elementary school , a village community center , a church and a day-care center in the village .

There is also a sports field, a tennis court with two courts, a rifle house and a fire station.

The children's and youth hospice die Kleine Helden has been based in the old forester's house in Michelsrombach since 2017.
