Ano Syros and Ermoupoli

Syros-Ermoupoli ( Greek Σύρος-Ερμούπολη ( f. Sg. )) Is a municipality created on January 1, 2011 in the Greek region of the South Aegean . It includes the Cyclades islands Syros and Gyaros as well as some small rocky islets and at the same time forms the regional district of Syros . The municipalities of Ano Syros , Ermoupoli and Posidonia , formed in 1997, continue to exist as municipal districts. The uninhabited Gyaros belongs to the municipality of Ano Syros.
