The Milos Regional District ( Greek Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Μήλου Periferiaki Enotita Milou ) is one of 13 regional districts in the South Aegean region of Greece . It was formed on the occasion of the administrative reform in 2010 from four island communities of the former Cyclades prefecture and covers the area of the province of Milos, which existed until 1997. In proportion to its 9,932 inhabitants, the area sends two members to the regional council, but has no further political significance as a local authority. It is divided into the four communities Kimolos , Milos , Serifos and Sifnos .
