The Paros regional district ( Greek Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Πάρου Periferiaki Enotita Parou ) is one of 13 regional districts in the Greek South Aegean region . It was formed on the occasion of the administrative reform in 2010 from two island communities of the former Cyclades prefecture and corresponds to the area of the Paros province, which existed until 1997 as a subdivision of the Cyclades prefecture. In proportion to its 14,926 inhabitants, the area sends two representatives to the regional council, but has no further political significance as a regional authority. It is divided into the two communities Andiparos and Paros .
