The regional district Athens-West ( Greek Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Δυτικού Τομέα Αθηνών Periferiaki Enotita Dytikou Tomea Athinon ) is one of eight regional districts in the Greek region of Attica . He was at the administrative reform in 2010 from several western suburban communities in Athens prefecture District Athens formed. In proportion to its 489,675 inhabitants, the area sends 13 members to the Attic regional council, but has no further political significance as a regional authority. Today it is divided into the communities of Agia Varvara , Agii Anargyri-Kamatero , Chaidari , Egaleo , Ilio , Peristeri and Petroupoli .
