As far as the church is concerned, the village remained oriented towards Hünfeld, as it has since its beginnings. In 1656 it was one of the seven branches of the parish of Hünfeld, in 1764 the only one. It became a branch community with its own chapel , despite initially strong opposition, in 1747 through the construction of a 20-shoe-long chapel. The second chapel was built in 1857/58 under the Fulda Bishop Christoph Florentius Kött . The consecration was carried out by the town pastor Konrad Hoeck. Today's branch church St. Maria Immaculata was consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop Johannes Kapp on September 15, 1984 after a year of construction in 1983/1984.

The village received its first chapel in 1747. There are two Catholic churches and a Baptist prayer house in the village . The church “St. Maria Immakulata " is a branch church of the parish " St. Jakobus " Hünfeld and organizationally belongs to the pastoral network " St. Benedict ”, Hünfeld country . In the center of the district marking is an old neo-Gothic church, which is used by a support association for various Christian events.
