The state government Purtscher III was the 12th Vorarlberg state government , which was in office from 1994 to 1997. It emerged from the state elections in Vorarlberg in 1994 , in which the Austrian People's Party with its top candidate Martin Purtscher narrowly missed an absolute majority, but was able to hold the absolute majority in the Vorarlberg state parliament . The government was elected in the constituent session of the 26th Vorarlberg Landtag on October 4, 1994 by its members and then sworn in.

The government was led by Governor Martin Purtscher six ÖVP members and one member of the Freedom Party. During the term of office, State Councilor Elisabeth Gehrer was appointed Federal Minister for Education, Science and Culture in 1995 and was replaced in the state government by Eva Maria Waibel .
