State government Keßler IV
The state government Keßler IV was the eighth Vorarlberg state government after the Second World War and the fourth government chaired by Governor Herbert Keßler . It was at the beginning of the XXIII. Legislative period promised on November 6, 1979 after the state elections on October 21, 1979 . Exactly five years later, on November 6, 1984, she was the swearing-in of successor government Kessler V replaced.
Since nothing had changed in the distribution of mandates in the Vorarlberg state parliament during the state elections , the previously existing coalition between the ÖVP and the FPÖ was extended for a further legislative period. Under the government chairmanship of Governor Herbert Keßler, six ÖVP members and one FPÖ member were represented in the state government.
During the term of office of the state government Keßler IV there was a change of state councils in the ranks of the FPÖ. On April 20, 1984, the previous Provincial Councilor, Karl-Werner Rüsch, left the government. 26 days later, on May 16, 1984, he was succeeded by his party colleague Hans Dieter Grabher as member of the state council.
