The state government Sausgruber III was the Vorarlberg state government from 2004 to 2009 under Governor Herbert Sausgruber . The members of the state government were elected on October 5, 2004 by the Vorarlberg state parliament. The Austrian People's Party formed after the state election in 2004 a coalition with the Freedom Party of Austria , was involved in making the FPÖ since 1974 of uninterrupted government. The FPÖ provided a member of the seven-member state government. With the third state government under Herbert Sausgruber, the ÖVP established its 15th state government in a row since Vorarlberg regained sovereignty in 1945.
During the legislative period there was a first change in the government team on December 13, 2006. State governor Hans-Peter Bischof resigned from office for health reasons. He was succeeded by the then club chairman of the People's Party in the Landtag, Markus Wallner , who was elected to his new office on the same day by the Landtag.
In the Landtag session of December 10, 2008, Provincial Councilor Manfred Rein resigned from his post after he had been elected President of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce on November 20 . His successor as economic state councilor was Karlheinz Rüdisser , who had previously headed the economic department in the office of the Vorarlberg state government.
