The state government Sausgruber II was the 14th Vorarlberg state government , which was in office from 1999 to 2004. She was in the constituent session of the XXVII. Vorarlberger Landtag sworn in on October 5, 1999. On October 5, 2004, the state government was sworn in again as the state government of Sausgruber III .

The government was led by Governor Herbert Sausgruber six ÖVP members and one member of the Freedom Party. With Sausgruber's re-election in the state elections in Vorarlberg in 1999 , the ÖVP was able to appoint Vorarlberg's governor for the 14th time after 1945. For Sausgruber it was the first state election as the top candidate of the ÖVP, after he took over the office of Martin Purtscher in 1997. Due to massive gains in the election with Hubert Gorbach, the liberal party was able to provide the state governor for the first time.

On October 11, 2000, Eva Maria Waibel resigned from the state government as regional councilor, followed by Greti Schmid . After Hubert Gorbach's appointment as Federal Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Dieter Egger became the new representative of the FPÖ in the state government as the state governor on March 5, 2003.
