State government Ilg I
The state government Ilg I was the first freely elected Vorarlberg state government after liberation after the Second World War . It replaced the end of 1945 to provisionally used for the state authorities State Committee and the first democratically authorized government was the country after years of Austro-fascist and the Nazi dictatorship.
The basis for the new state government was the election to the Vorarlberg state parliament held on November 25 , in which the Austrian People's Party and its top candidate Ulrich Ilg , who had already been president of the state committee and had been provincial governor since August 16, achieved an absolute majority . The ÖVP and SPÖ then formed a government coalition led by Governor Ilg. Only the Communist Party was excluded from forming a government. The new government was sworn in on December 11, 1945 and replaced by the Ilg II state government on November 14, 1949 .
