Konrad Blank (born March 13, 1931 in Sulzberg ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. Blank was a member of the Vorarlberg state government from 1964 to 1988 as a regional councilor and from 1964 to 1969 a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

Konrad Blank was born on March 13, 1931 in Sulzberg as the son of the farmer Josef Blank and his wife Katharina. From 1937 to 1945 he attended elementary school in Sulzberg-Hermannsberg. He then worked on his father's farm and began training at the agricultural training school in Sulzberg. From 1951 he attended the agricultural college in Bregenz - Mehrerau , which he successfully completed in 1953. Working full-time as a farmer on his parents' farm, Blank was also the accountant of the Sulzberg-Simmlisgschwend dairy cooperative from 1957 to 1964 .

After Blank had already participated in a political training course of the Austrian People's Party in Schloss Wartholz in Lower Austria at the age of 24 , he was elected a member of the community council in his home community Sulzberg in 1960. In 1964 he was elected as a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and in the same year he was appointed regional councilor for agriculture and forestry in the state government of Keßler I under Governor Herbert Keßler . Under this and his successor Martin Purtscher , Konrad Blank remained a member of the state government until October 11, 1988. The establishment of the new rural school and education center for Vorarlberg in Hohenems in 1970 was part of his term of office as the competent regional councilor .

After retiring from active state politics, Konrad Blank continued to be involved at party level. From 1960 to 1994 he was chairman of the ÖVP in Sulzberg and since 1994 chairman of the Sulzberger Seniorenbund . From March 29, 2000, Blank was also district chairman of the senior citizens' association in the Bregenz district .
