Marco Tittler (born October 21, 1976 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Since November 6, 2019, Tittler has been a member of the Vorarlberg state government as the regional councilor for economy .

Career

Marco Tittler was born in 1976 in the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck and grew up in Bregenz . He attended elementary school in Bregenz-Schendlingen, the lower school level at the Bundesgymnasium Blumenstrasse and the upper level at the Bregenz Commercial Academy . He then did military service in the Austrian Armed Forces and then began studying business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration , which he completed as a Master of Economics ( Mag. Rer. Soc. Oec. ) With a thesis on the subject of “The non-profit housing and the importance of non-profit building associations for the Housing Industry ”concluded.

In 2005 Marco Tittler joined the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce as a trainee in the field of business succession . In 2006 he became a consultant in the start-up service of the Chamber of Commerce and managing director of the Vorarlberg young economy . Four years later, in 2010, he was promoted to head of the energy and technology policy departments in the Chamber of Commerce, and in 2012 he became head of the energy and environmental policy department. Since 2014, Marco Tittler has headed the entire economic policy of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce, and in 2018 he was also appointed Deputy Chamber of Commerce director for Vorarlberg.

When, in the run-up to the state elections in Vorarlberg in 2019, the previous economic councilor, Karlheinz Rüdisser, announced that he would no longer be available for office after the election, the Vorarlberg People's Party nominated Marco Tittler as Rüdisser's successor in the Vorarlberg state government . Tittler was elected to the Wallner III state government together with his government colleagues in the constituent session of the state parliament of the 31st legislative period on November 6, 2019 and has since been the responsible Vorarlberg state councilor for economy and infrastructure.
