Leopold Hofinger

Leopold Hofinger (born July 22, 1937 in Grieskirchen , Hausruckviertel , Austria ; † December 25, 2008 ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Leopold Hofinger graduated from the Otterbach Agricultural College and had been an independent farmer in Paschallern since 1957 .

politics

From 1973 to 1985 he was involved in the local council of Grieskirchen, at the same time he was a member of the state parliament in Upper Austria until 1979 . From 1978 to 1989 he was chairman of the ÖVP Grieskirchen.

From 1978 to 1997 Hofinger was a member of the provincial government in Upper Austria and a provincial councilor for the agricultural, hunting, fishing and fire fighting groups. He was Vice President of the Austrian Farmers' Union until 1998 and was involved in 1964 as a member of the supervisory board of the warehouse cooperative in Grieskirchen. From 1967 to 1973 he was a member of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Agriculture and then chairman of the District Chamber of Farmers until 1978. From 1977 to 1985 he was chairman of the warehouse cooperative in Grieskirchen and in 1978 he was on the supervisory board of the Upper Austrian insurance company . In 1982 he was chairman of the supervisory board of the Upper Austrian insurance company and then from 1984 to 1998 chairman of the Upper Austrian farmers 'and part-time farmers' association and district party chairman of Grieskirchen. In 1985 he became a cooperative attorney for the Upper Austrian Raiffeisen Association and a year later he became the Deputy Attorney General of the Austrian Raiffeisen Association .
