Rudolf Trauner junior

Rudolf Trauner (born February 8, 1954 in Linz ) is an Upper Austrian politician (ÖVP) and entrepreneur. He is the managing director of the Trauner Verlag and the Trauner Druckerei. From 2003 to 2017 he was President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce .

Trauner is married, has two children and lives in Linz.

Life

After graduating from the commercial academy, Rudolf Trauner enrolled in business administration at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz in 1973 . He completed his studies in 1978 with a focus on organization and marketing, and from 1979 to 1981 he wrote his doctoral thesis.

In 1991, Trauner took over the management of the family company from his father, Rudolf Trauner senior . Tauner was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament. In 2000, Trauner moved into the Presidium of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce as Vice President and finally took over the office of President from Viktor Sigl in 2003 . In 2005 Rudolf Trauner was re-elected as President in the Chamber of Commerce elections.

From October 30, 1991 to October 30, 1997 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag for the ÖVP.

In June 2017, Doris Hummer succeeded him as President of the Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce.

The company's print shop will be closed at the end of September 2019 for economic reasons.

Since 1990 he has been an honorary member of the Catholic student association KÖStV Kürnberg Vienna in the ÖCV .
