Helmut Kapeller

Helmut Kapeller (born November 10, 1950 ) is an Upper Austrian social democratic politician from Attnang-Puchheim . He is married and has two daughters.

After attending elementary and secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic and from 1971 worked for the ÖBB .

Kapeller was in the Upper Austrian state parliament from 1985 to 2011 , where he was a member of the following committees: Committee for Finance, Economic Affairs, Transport Affairs (in which he was chairman) and EU affairs. He left the state parliament on May 12, 2011, his mandate was taken by Hermann Krenn . Kapeller has been the SPÖ district chairman in the Vöcklabruck district since 2003.
