Hermann Krenn

Hermann Krenn (born August 24, 1963 in Feldbach (Styria) ) is an Austrian police officer and politician (SPÖ) .

Life and education

Krenn, born in Feldbach (Styria), is married and has two children. Since 1996 he has lived with his family in the 2600 community of Gampern near the Attersee in Upper Austria - Vöcklabruck district .

After completing primary school, he graduated from Fürstenfeld grammar school, where he graduated from high school in 1981 . After military service and one year of voluntary training as a militia officer , Krenn moved to the Graz Police School. During his service in the Graz Police Task Force, to which he belonged from 1982 to 1992, Krenn underwent officer training in Mödling, Lower Austria. After a year-long service at the Vienna School Department in 1992 and 1993, Krenn moved to the Salzburg City Police Department . There he completed further training in the field of personnel and operational management and subsequently worked as a personnel officer until 2007. Between 1995 and 1996 he completed his training as a specialist and behavioral trainer at the University of Salzburg . Since May 2007 Hermann Krenn has been in the rank of lieutenant colonel , deputy district commander in the Vöcklabruck district police command and head of the criminal department.

politics

In 1999 Hermann Krenn joined the Social Democratic Party of Austria and also volunteered as an education officer in the SPÖ local party in his home town of Gampern. Ranked second in the list in the municipal council elections in 2003, Krenn made the leap to the municipal council and as the second SP representative to the municipal board. In 2004 he replaced Christian Strobl as local party chairman and since the same year has also been a member of the SPÖ district committee in Vöcklabruck.

After internal party restructuring, Krenn has also been chairman of the parliamentary group since 2007 and in this position was largely responsible for the renewal process of the local party. As a representative of an SPÖ minority community, Hermann Krenn was elected as deputy district chairman in the social democratic community representative association (GVV) in 2010. As the founder and leader of the working group for minority communities, he is primarily responsible for promoting and supporting local SP parties that do not have a majority in the local council. Hermann Krenn has been a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament since May 12, 2011 . The state parliament mandate ended after the long-standing district chairman of the LAbg. D. Helmut Kapeller to Krenn for health reasons. Along with the mandate, Krenn also took over the chairmanship of Volkshilfe Vöcklabruck.
