Norbert Pichler
Norbert Pichler (born October 22, 1938 in Linz ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and functionary of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees in Upper Austria .
Life
Pichler attended elementary school in Naarn im Machlande from 1945 and secondary school in Perg from 1949. In an ÖBB training workshop, he learned the trade of machine fitter from 1953 and was an official of the Austrian Federal Railways from 1957 to 1992 . From 1979 to 1984 he was a member of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees and from 1984 to 1991 as its vice-president.
politics
From 1971 to 1996 Pichler was chairman of the SPÖ local organization of Naarn im Machlande and was a member of the local council from 1973 to 1985 , including as deputy mayor from 1977 to 1985 .
From December 12, 1983 to October 29, 1991 he represented his party in the Federal Council and then moved to the Upper Austrian state parliament , where he acted as deputy club chairman of the state parliamentary group from October 30, 1991 to October 30, 1997 .
