This list of members of the Upper Austrian Landtag (XXI. Legislative period) lists all members of the Upper Austrian Landtag in the XXI. Legislative period. The legislative period lasted from November 16, 1973 to October 24, 1979, the deputies were sworn in on November 16, 1973. In the 1973 state election , the ÖVP was again able to achieve a majority of votes and mandates over the SPÖ by increasing the number of MPs from 48 to 56 seats, all three parties in the state parliament won seats. Of the 56 mandates, 28 were for the ÖVP , 24 for the SPÖ and 4 for the FPÖ . The state government of Wenzl II , elected by the state parliament , was transferred to the state government of Ratzenböck I on October 19, 1977 .

Functions

Landtag President

During the legislative period, the ÖVP provided the First President of the State Parliament due to its relative majority in mandate. Lelio Spannocchi took office throughout the legislative period. The second president of the state parliament was Leo Habringer (SPÖ), the function of the third state parliament president was traditionally occupied by the FPÖ. Alois Bachinger , the third President of the State Parliament for many years, held this position throughout the legislative period .

Club chairmen

From May 29, 1978, Gerhard Possart held the position of club chairman in the ÖVP . In the SPÖ, Ernst Dürr initially took over the office of club chairman before he was replaced by Friedrich Freyschlag on November 27, 1974 . Deputy chairman of the SPÖ was during the XXI.
