Friedrich Falch

Friedrich Falch (born June 28, 1918 in Lengau ; † March 12, 2002 ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1961 to 1979 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

Life

Friedrich Lengau attended elementary school and then worked on his parents' farm in Friedburg . In 1938 he was drafted into the Reich Labor Service ; During the Second World War , he did military service in Poland, France and Russia from 1939 to 1942 and 1945. From 1955 to 1965 Falch was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Upper Austria ; He was also a member of the district school committee and the traffic commission .

Falch had been married since 1943; his marriage to his wife Maria had seven children.

Falch's father had already been politically active for the Christian Social Party ; Friedrich Falch followed him after the war. From 1948 to 1949 and from 1953 to 1961 he was mayor of the municipality of Lengau, and from 1949 to 1953 and from 1961 to 1967 he was vice mayor.

For the ÖVP , Falch sat for three legislative periods from 1961 to 1979 in the Upper Austrian state parliament, where he mainly dealt with questions of agriculture. He was also a member of the regional committee of the Upper Austrian Farmers' Union .
