Josef Goenitzer

Josef Gönitzer (* 1946 in Seekirchen am Wallersee ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2008 to 2009 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

From 1960 to 1964, Gönitzer completed an apprenticeship as a freight forwarder and assistant at the Lagermax freight forwarder in Salzburg and then worked as a freight forwarder at Rohner & Gehrig and Friese. From 1971 he worked as dispatch manager and import and export manager at Herbert Tulipan, later Demag Fördertechnik. In 1981 Gönitzer moved to the Bischof freight forwarding company in Salzburg as a branch manager and worked in transport and customs management at Brigitte Jungs in 1983/84.

Gönitzer was employed as ÖGB secretary from January 1, 1985 and from 1985 to 1991 ÖGB / GPA secretary for the industrial employees of the state of Salzburg. From 1991 until his retirement he worked as state secretary of the ÖGB / HGPD and was responsible for hotels, the hospitality industry and other service industries. Gönitzer has been studying political science since his retirement .

politics

Gönitzer was chairman of the SPÖ local organization in Oberndorf near Salzburg . He had joined the ÖGB and the SPÖ during his apprenticeship and worked as a youth functionary of the ÖGP / GPA until his military service. He has been involved in the SPÖ Oberndorf since 1982 and was deputy mayor of the community from 1986 to 1994.

After Johann Holztrattner's retirement, Gönitzer moved to the Salzburg state parliament on December 17, 2008 and was the area spokesman for economy, energy and culture. Since he was only ranked in a lower position by the SPÖ in the 2009 state elections , he left the state parliament on April 22, 2009.

Private

Gönitzer is the father of two children.
