Wolfgang Schürrer (born November 5, 1946 ) is an Upper Austrian restaurateur and politician ( ÖVP ). Schürrer has been a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament since 1991 .

Wolfgang Schürrer attended the primary school in Spital am Pyhrn and the secondary school in Windischgarsten . Schürrer then completed a four-year apprenticeship in fishing industry at the vocational school for fishing industry in Scharfling , which he completed with the journeyman's examination. Schürrer then attended the two-year agricultural college in Altmünster , where he passed the final examination for skilled workers. He also completed the three-year HBLA for alpine agriculture in Raumberg (Styria).

Schürrer initially worked from 1970 to 1979 as a manager of an agricultural property in Wels . From 1974 he built up the operation of the “Lindenhof youth home” in Spital am Pyhrn. Since 1978 he has been self-employed as an innkeeper and head of the youth recreation home together with his wife Katharina. Wolfgang Schürrer was mayor of the municipality of Spital am Pyhrn between 1995 and 2003. From 1991 to 2009 he represented the ÖVP in the Upper Austrian state parliament and was also the tourism spokesman for the ÖVP there. Schürrer was a member of the Finance Committee, the Construction Committee, the Transport Affairs Committee and Chairman of the EU Affairs Committee.
