Adam Abel (writer)

Adam Abel (born January 29, 1886 in Elberfeld as Rudolf Heinrich Krommes ; died May 8, 1945 in the Flossenbürg concentration camp ) was a German art historian, writer, religious philosopher, sculptor and painter. He lived in Munich at Ainmillerstraße 5.

Life

He was the son of a textile manufacturer from Elberfeld. After attending school he studied art history and philosophy at the University of Marburg , where he was a student of Paul Natorp . After attending university and completing his doctorate, Rudolf Heinrich Krommes worked as an art historian, writer and author. In addition, due to his artistic talent, he also appeared as a sculptor and painter.

During National Socialism, he was taken to the Flossenbürg concentration camp, where he died of the aftermath of imprisonment in 1945 after the liberation.
