Rudolf Herrfahrdt

Rudolf Herrfahrdt (born November 1, 1907 in Insterburg ; † October 5, 2005 in Garbsen ) was a German Lutheran theologian, author and most recently director of the Office for Community Service in Hanover.

Life

Herrfahrdt studied Protestant theology and was ordained on March 31, 1935. In the same year he took up his first pastor in Wilhelmsburg-Reiherstieg. In 1936 he became pastor in Hohenbostel , and in 1950 superintendent of the Osterode / Harz church district. In 1965 he was appointed director of the Office for Community Service of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover . On April 16, 1975, he retired.
