Rudolf Nickels
Rudolf Nickels (born April 23, 1926 in Bottrop ; † February 7, 2005 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).
Life and work
After attending primary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a blacksmith . After Reich labor service , military service and imprisonment , he practiced his profession again. In 1950 Nickels became a union secretary at IG Bergbau und Energie and in 1960 a member of the union's executive committee.
He became a member of the CDU in 1955. He was represented in numerous bodies of the party, so u. a. as deputy state chairman of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe. He joined the trade union IG Bergbau und Energie in 1945.

From July 25, 1966 to May 28, 1980, Nickels was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list.
