Rudolf Schenner

Rudolf Schenner (born July 8, 1912 in Apolda ; † unknown) was a German trade unionist ( FDGB ). He was chairman of the board of directors of the clothing industry union .

Life

Schenner, son of a knitter and a seamstress, attended elementary and trade school . He did an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk and then worked in the profession. From 1939 to 1945 Schenner did military service as an administrative officer in an anti-aircraft and tank unit of the Wehrmacht .

After the end of the war in 1945 he worked again as a commercial clerk and as a trustee. Schenner became a member of the FDGB in 1945 and of the SED in June 1946 . In 1946/47 he served as Vice President of the Thuringia Chamber of Commerce and Industry . In 1946 he was elected first chairman of the Thuringian state executive committee of IG clothing, from June 1946 he was a member of the executive central executive committee of IG clothing. From October 1947 to March 1950 he served as the first chairman of the central board of IG clothing. From May 1949 he was also a member of the executive board of the FDGB.

After the merger of IG clothing with IG Textil and IG Leder in March 1950, Schenner was deputy chairman of the central board of IG Textil -bekleidung-Leder. In December 1951 he was appointed head of the light industry department in the main export department of the Ministry for Foreign and Inner German Trade .

Later Schenner was deputy general director of German domestic and foreign trade (DIA) textiles and second chairman of the "Group East" in the committee for the promotion of German trade.
