Rudolf Schubert (ancient historian)

Rudolf Julius Wilhelm Schubert (born June 12, 1844 in Grünheide , Insterburg district (East Prussia) , † February 25, 1924 in Königsberg ) was a German ancient historian .

After attending grammar school in Insterburg, Schubert studied in Bonn, Königsberg and Berlin from 1862. On November 11, 1868 he received his doctorate at the University of Königsberg . Since the winter semester 1879/80 he taught there as an associate professor, most recently as a full honorary professor, Ancient History.
