Rudolf Stahel

Rudolf Stahel (* around 1448; † 1528 in Konstanz ) was a painter of the late Gothic , from whom numerous works mainly on biblical and ecclesiastical subjects have been preserved.

Stahel has been attested since 1473 in Constance, where he ran a workshop with several employees known by name. Several times he was a member of the city's Grand Council. As a sideline, he ran a yarn trade.
