Rudolf Winderlich

Rudolf Winderlich (born May 26, 1876 in Iserlohn ; † July 15, 1951 in Oldenburg ) was a German chemistry teacher, chemistry teacher, and chemistry historian.

Life

Winderlich completed his studies in mathematics and natural sciences in Leipzig, Halle and Berlin. After the state examination and the seminar year, Winderlich came to Oldenburg for the first time in 1903, but in 1904 went to a school in Frankfurt-Höchst for two years as a teacher. In 1906 he returned to Oldenburg and taught until the end of the Second World War without major interruptions at the Städtische Oberrealschule , which was renamed the Hindenburg School during the Nazi era and has been the Herbartgymnasium since 1988 . In the 20s Winderlich was appointed professor (grammar school professor). The intellectual and cultural life of Oldenburg was significantly influenced by Winderlich in the first half of the 20th century. In addition, Winderlich made decisive contributions early on in the dispute between representatives of traditional humanistic and the new scientific education.
