Rudolf "Rudi" Wojtowicz (born June 9, 1956 in Bytom ) is a former Polish football player and coach . In addition to Polish, he also has German citizenship.

Career

Rudolf Wojtowicz played from 1982 to 1992 as a professional football player in the first and second Bundesliga . As a defender, he scored two goals in 162 Bundesliga games for Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Fortuna Düsseldorf . In 58 appearances in the second division, he scored one goal for Fortuna Düsseldorf. He completed an international match for Poland (April 12, 1978). From 1996 to 1997 he was the coach of Fortuna Düsseldorf. He then worked as a talent scout for Hertha BSC until February 2010 and is now employed in the same position at VfL Wolfsburg .
