Rudolf von Raesfeld

Rudolf von Raesfeld (* in the 16th century; † in the 17th century) was canon in Münster .

Life

Rudolf von Raesfeld came from the Westphalian noble family von Raesfeld , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. Its members belonged to the Catholic faith . He was the son of Reinhard von Raesfeld zu Romberg and his wife Stephanie von Mechelen. On August 13, 1586 Rudolf was presented by Vice Dominus Jobst Droste for the cathedral priest of the late Canon Johannes von Keppel. He renounced and married on April 30, 1605 the heiress Anna von Walrave zu Kendenich. This means that Kreuzau Castle came into the possession of the von Raesfeld family.
