Rudolf von Steinfurt

Rudolf von Steinfurt (* in the 14th century; † in the 14th century) was a cathedral scholaster in Münster .

Life

Rudolf von Steinfurt came from the noble lords of Steinfurt and was the son of Ludolf von Steinfurt and his wife Pyronetta von Bilstein . He was rector of the Hesseldorn Chapel near Nordwalde when he and his uncle, the later Paderborn Bishop Balduin von Steinfurt , asked the Münster bishop to be allowed to exchange their benefices. Bishop Ludwig granted the request so that Rudolf could enter the cathedral chapter . On March 28, 1364 it was first mentioned as a cathedral scholaster. In this function he was responsible for the management of the cathedral school . In 1369 he was a bailiff in Emsland on behalf of the bishop. The sources do not provide any information about his further life.
