Rudy Reunes

Rudy Reunes (born October 24, 1967 in Ghent ; † November 10, 2010 ) was a Belgian jazz trumpeter .

Reunes had lessons with Dirk Brossé, studied improvisation a. a. at Marc Godfroid . He had his own quartet with guitarists Hans Van Ooost, Filip Deprez or Jean Van Lint (bass) and Wim Deroeck or Luc Vanden Bossch (drums). He also belonged to various formations such as The Whodads, Panache, The Smokey Midnight Gang, Boss Ross Quintet and Indian Cigars. He also played with Sammy Rimington and Maceo Parker . He also taught at the Gentse Academie voor Podiumkunsten (APK) and at the Merelbeekse muziekschool. Rudy Reunes died in a traffic accident in 2010.
