Rugby Calvisano (also called Cammi Calvisano for sponsorship reasons ) is an Italian rugby union club from Calvisano in the province of Brescia . He plays in the top Italian league Super 10 . The home games are played in the Centro Sportivo San Michele . Calvisano has been twice champion and once cup winner.

history

The association was founded in 1970 and has had the legal form of a Srl ( GmbH ) since 1992 . Calvisano first took part in a European cup competition in the 1999/2000 season; however, all six group games in the European Challenge Cup were lost. Since the 2001/02 season Calvisano was able to qualify for the Heineken Cup every year , but never reached the quarter-finals.

In 2004 Calvisano won the Italian rugby cup. The team beat Benetton Treviso in the 2005 championship final and won their first championship title after four defeats in the final. In 2008 they managed to beat Treviso again and celebrate the second championship title in the club's history.
